GRI-GM17 Reference Values for Smooth LLDPE

Selected minimum-average properties from GRI-GM17 Revision 17 (June 11, 2025), Table 1(b), for smooth LLDPE. These are specification references, not Jinseed batch test results or a complete conformity assessment. Textured grades have different requirements.

Use one specified unit system; rounded mil labels are not interchangeable acceptance limits.

Prepare the Ground

Flat, compacted soil with no sharp stones or roots. Aim for at least 90% compaction.

Controlling the overlap between adjacent geomembrane sheets

Keep sheets overlapped by 100–150 mm so the weld comes out clean.

Questions Buyers Usually Ask

What is the minimum order?

In-stock sizes start from just one roll, which covers urgent repairs and small pilot jobs. Custom thickness, width or color starts from one 20 ft container, which keeps the batch even and the price per square meter low.

How long does production take?

Standard sizes leave the factory in 7 to 14 days after we confirm the specification and the deposit. Custom orders take longer, and we give you the exact date in the quotation before production starts.

Do you use recycled resin?

Request a resin and formulation declaration for the offered grade. GRI-GM17 specifies virgin resin and permits up to 10% qualifying production rework under its stated conditions; it is not a fixed formulation recipe. If the project prohibits rework, state that additional requirement in the purchase specification.

When should I pick LLDPE over HDPE?

Consider LLDPE where flexibility and deformation capacity are important, such as assessed settlement or detailed geometries. Neither LLDPE nor HDPE is automatically suitable for a chemical exposure. Compare the actual fluid, temperature, loading, interface stability and installation conditions with the designer before selecting the grade.

How do you check quality before shipping?

Review roll identification, thickness records and the required tensile, elongation, tear, puncture and carbon black results. GM17 uses different frequencies for different properties. Agree independent witnessing, lot acceptance and treatment of failed results in the project inspection plan.

What do you need to send me a price?

Six things: product type, thickness, roll size, quantity, destination port and what the liner is for. Drawings or tender documents speed things up.
